A very windy day again, but dry	Greenwich Although fairly small by today's cruise ship standards, Japan Cruise Line's [Venus Cruise] PACIFIC VENUS looked huge moored on the Thames at Greenwich. She sailed away majestically at 17:00, with 2 tugs initially assisting - it was a bit windy [thankfully the forecast rain did not materialise]. She had arrived on Friday 15 May, and stayed overnight 16 May 2009

Dover - 11 May 2009 A very windy day, but dry

An attempt to see both Emerald Princess & Princess Daphne make their inaugural calls at Dover. However Emerald Princess went to Zeebrugge instead as the winds were too high for her to attempt Dover & Princess Daphne sheltered along the coast finally berthing just before 16:00 [due 12:00], after I had had to leave. A few photos of the ferries at Dover in the wind - some waited outside port for a while before attempting an entrance with tug Dauntless standing by

SeaFrance Renoir 13:30 to Calais - SeaFrance Molière 18:25 to Dover Being another lovely sunny but hazy day with calm seas we took the opportunity for another crossing. A bit chilly on deck & on the jetty in Calais. It turned windy & cold for the return crossing but still calm seas.
