A bleak arrival at New York
aboard QUEEN ELIZABETH; It was cold, wet [sleeting] and windy. Before
& after passing Verrazano-Narrows Bridge [see video for under],
vessels on the Hudson, Lighthouses, Staten Island Ferries, CELEBRITY
SILHOUETTE, Statue of Liberty, Pier 40, Erie Lackawanna Railway
Terminal, Skylines etc all misty - 17 Jan 2012

After
finally berthing a little bit late & eventually passing through
immigration there was not a lot of daylight left. We walked up to
Broadway & along to Times Square, did a bit of shopping & then
walked back to Pier 90 after a couple of hours. So a few photos around Broadway &
Times Square, then the Pier 90 sign lit up - 17 Jan 2012

With an evening flight
from JFK we took a coach tour of
Downtown Manhattan
from 09:00. These photos are in the main taken through the coach
windows at odd angles & not of interest to anyone else. Theater
District, Midtown, Chelsea, Greenwich Village, Chinatown, World
