"All the balcony cabins were in the same
colour scheme and were very attractive.
That brass detail over the bed was a very nice
touch with just the right amount and added a certain
"something" without being OTT.
I never actually got the size of our cabin but
can say that the it was more than double the size of the other cabins
that we saw."

"We did have bath robes in the cabin. Nice thick fluffy white towelling.
They came first day at sea and were left with us till disembarkation."

"The bathroom was roomy with a decent size
bath. Never did the cabin feel crowded or that space was restricted
(bigger than some hotel rooms we have
occupied!) even when we entertained 6 for drinks one evening
- making 8 occupants. We were really very happy indeed."

"The storage was also excellent and we
never used either bedside cabinet or the two cupboards either side of
the mini bar under the TV.
The corner behind mirror cupboard with safe was
also spacious and a good idea.
The only criticism we would make was the corner
desk where the drawer was wide and very flimsy
and we think that within another year will have disintegrated.
We were not over enamoured with the art work
either!! At least it was colourful!!"

"On the first day at sea the fruit bowl
above was filled wth fresh fruit
[free of charge] and replenished on a daily basis.
The balcony chairs were cane and chrome and
balcony table chrome and glass.
Rather a short sighted choice we think as the
chrome was showing severe rust distress
and of a morning the glass table top was
heavily encrusted with salt. Takes lots of maintenance.
Re the balcony. There was about a 1" gap
between the wall and the start of the dividing screen so you could
catch a glimpse of movement.
You could not be viewed from above that was
certain. If you leant out and round you could see onto the balcony.............
but you would have to be pretty bold to do that
unless you knew the neighbours."

MSC Lirica taken late afternoon shortly
before sailing from Key West - March 2004
